Perfect 1's Club: The Stories Behind the Aces
|
Daniella Viney Achieves First Hole-in-One! A massive congratulations to Daniella Viney on sinking her first-ever hole-in-one! On August 11, 2025, Daniella aced Hole #12, a fantastic 100-yard shot using an 8-iron. What makes this even more special is that she experienced it on a trip out West from Niagara Falls! What an unforgettable moment! Linda Aikens' Spooky Scramble Ace! On October 26, 2024, Linda Aikens scored her fourth career hole-in-one on Hole #15 at Two Eagles. Using a Pitching Wedge for the 95-yard shot, Linda’s ace was extra special, happening during the Spooky Scramble! Despite being in full costume with her foursome of "high school geeks" and the hole being "somewhat oversized" (like a pie plate!), Linda says she "hit a quality shot that we watched spin back into the hole." While there's no photo or video, the memory of four adults jumping around in costume after the "magical shot" is clearly unforgettable! Six-Year-Old Damian Javier Sinks First Hole-in-One in Kelowna! Despite a mid-round downpour, six-year-old Damian Javier made his summer vacation in Kelowna unforgettable by acing the 7th hole! Using a US Kids PW, Damian sank his first-ever hole-in-one from 60 yards out. This incredible shot on August 5, 2024, wasn't just the highlight of their family trip, but also Damian's top moment of 2024! Another Ace for Kimberly! While celebrating her friend's 40th on October 3rd, 2020, Kimberly Ausman achieved her second-ever hole-in-one! Playing the 15th hole, 125 yards out, Kimberly sunk it with an 8-iron. The group ahead, including the birthday boys themselves, came sprinting back to join in the celebratory cheering when they heard the incredible news! Mother's Day Magic: Lisa Johnson's Second Hole-in-One! Lisa Johnson of Two Eagles Golf Club scored her second career hole-in-one on May 11, 2025, on Hole #7! Using her 9-iron, Lisa aced the 120-yard shot. Even more incredible? She called it right before she hit, saying she had a feeling it was going in. To top it off, this memorable shot happened on Mother's Day, with her family right there to witness it! Michael M's Unforgettable First Ace! What an incredible day for Michael M! On June 29, 2019, he achieved every golfer's dream, sinking his first-ever hole-in-one at Two Eagles. Standing 163 yards from Hole 2, Michael perfectly struck the ball with his pitching wedge, watching it soar directly into the cup. It was truly the "best day ever" on the green, marking a moment he'll never forget! Dave Krisky's Deuce of an Ace! A Superintendent's Prophecy FulfilledTalk about a seasoned pro! On May 25, 2022, Dave Krisky proved that lightning can indeed strike twice, sinking his second career hole-in-one at Two Eagles. This wasn't just any round; Dave was playing alongside Two Eagles' very own world-class superintendent, Warren Blue, as well as Greg Hellyer and Teddy Clarke. The memorable moment unfolded on Hole 12, a challenging 168-yard shot with the pin tucked back left, just over a tricky ridge. Dave, armed with his trusty 8-iron, struck a beautiful, high shot that gracefully trickled over the ridge and then, to their collective excitement, simply disappeared from view. It was Warren Blue, with his unparalleled insight into the course, who confidently declared from the tee, "that's in for sure." And true to his word, as they approached the green, there it was – nestled perfectly in the hole! Bluey's keen eye and intimate knowledge of the greens perfectly complemented Dave's fantastic shot, making for an unforgettable celebration and another incredible ace to add to Krisky's impressive golfing resume. Kyle Smith Sinks His First! On June 29, 2019, Kyle Smith pulled off something truly wild! From 174 yards out on Hole 2, he absolutely cranked his 8-iron and watched in disbelief as the ball took a one-way ticket straight into the cup. This wasn't just any shot; it was Kyle's first-ever hole-in-one, a mind-blowing moment. Talk about making memories. Kelly Ausman — Hole-in-One! Kelly Ausman hit his second lifetime hole-in-one on July 21st, 2019, on Hole 15! He used a 9 iron to sink the 148-yard shot. Adding to the sweetness? It was against his wife in a match play! Randy Timo's Unforgettable Ace at Hole 17! On September 26, 2021, Randy Timo sank his first-ever hole-in-one on Hole 17! Using a 7 iron, he sent the ball 143 yards straight into the cup. The most incredible part? His buddy called it beforehand, exclaiming, "Tom Brady, Hail Mary, hole in one!" Talk about a prophetic swing! Douglas Clarke: Ace Number Five! In August 2024, Douglas Clarke celebrated his fifth career hole-in-one! Playing Hole #10, he used a 7-iron to sink the 166-yard shot. Congratulations on another fantastic ace, Douglas! |
Finally! Ethan Gee's Ace Breaks the Drought! After 15 long years and what felt like an endless run of bad luck (watching his partners rack up eight holes-in-one in the last year!), Ethan Gee has finally joined the club! On October 30th, 2025, Ethan took a recently-tuned swing—thanks to a game-changing lesson with Rick at the Academy—and flushed his PW 138 yards on the 17th hole for his first career hole-in-one. Proof that patience (and maybe a good golf instructor) pays off! Ethan’s mantra: “Never give up as you never know what shot might be your best!” We couldn't agree more. Congrats, Ethan! A Memorable First Ace for Lucy Herman! On May 18, 2014, Lucy Herman achieved a golfer's dream: her first-ever hole-in-one! Playing on Hole #6, a hole many Two Eagle golfers know can be tricky to spot your ball on the green, Lucy expertly used her 7-iron to send the ball 102 yards. "A friend thought my shot could be in the hole, but I was unsure and had to patiently wait to reach the green," shares Lucy. "Lo and behold there it was in the cup!" What an unforgettable moment for Lucy! A Junior's Ace: Greg Ross Sinks First Hole-in-One! On June 24, 2025, junior golfer Greg Ross achieved a remarkable milestone, sinking his first-ever hole-in-one on the 2nd hole! Using a 7-iron on the 167-yard par-3, Greg's shot found the bottom of the cup, marking an unforgettable moment in his burgeoning golf career. First Ace for Peter Meehan! On August 1st, 2024, Peter Meehan achieved a significant milestone, sinking his first-ever hole-in-one! The memorable shot occurred on the 4th hole, a challenging 200-yard distance, which he conquered with his 5 iron. Congratulations, Peter! A First Ace for Rhonda Thorp! It was August 29th, 2021, when Rhonda Thorp achieved every golfer's dream: her first-ever hole-in-one! Using her 7 iron on the 102-yard 6th hole, Rhonda's perfect shot was met with a celebratory scream that echoed across the course. Her husband, Bill, who was playing a hole behind, initially suspected a snake encounter, only to quickly learn the exciting truth via text. Rhonda's certificate now proudly hangs above Bill's clubs in their garage—a constant, playful reminder of who holds the exclusive "Ace" title in the family! Nik Federko's Unforgettable Ace On September 1, 2019, Nik Federko achieved every golfer's dream: a hole-in-one! Using a 6 iron on Hole #4, Nik sent the ball 211 yards straight into the cup. The best part? This unforgettable moment, Nik's first ace, was shared with two golf newcomers who, hilariously, didn't quite grasp the magnitude of what they'd just witnessed. A true golf story for the ages! Alex MacNaull's Chilly First Ace! On a brisk March 27, 2021, Alex MacNaull experienced the thrill of a lifetime, sinking his first-ever hole-in-one! Facing a 163-yard shot on Hole 2 at Two Eagles, Alex hit his 7-iron. On the chilly, hard ground, the ball just kept rolling and rolling until, to his delight, it finally dropped into the cup! Alex still proudly displays his "ace flag," a memento of that unforgettable day. Ace, Ring, and Everything! A Week to Remember Talk about a memorable week! On August 6, 2024, Marko Lukic achieved every golfer's dream, sinking his first-ever hole-in-one on Hole 17 at Two Eagles in Canada. Using his 8-iron for a 165-yard shot, Marko capped off a fantastic day of golfing with his now-fiancée Taylor and her family. The timing of this incredible feat felt nothing short of surreal, as it happened just one day before Marko's meticulously planned surprise proposal to Taylor. Back at the pro shop, the staff celebrated Marko's ace by presenting him with a commemorative pin/ball marker in what looked remarkably like a velvet ring box. When Taylor playfully inquired about his new trinket, Marko seized the moment, opening the box in front of her. She laughed, jokingly swatting his arm away, completely unaware of the romantic surprise awaiting her the very next day. The celebration continued at 19 Okanagan, where Taylor's dad, who was secretly in on the proposal plan, kept hinting about this being "the best week of Marko's life." Taylor remained delightfully oblivious until the following day, when Marko popped the question at City Park Beach, the very place they first met five years prior. This incredible sequence of events, from the unexpected hole-in-one to the perfectly executed proposal, created an amazing memory at Two Eagles that Marko and Taylor will undoubtedly cherish forever. Brandon Ortiz: A 9-Year-Old's First Ace! On August 11, 2005, then 9-year-old Brandon Ortiz celebrated his first-ever hole-in-one on Hole #7! He achieved this incredible feat using a 3-wood to cover 124 yards. What an unforgettable moment for a young golfer! |
