Kyle McMurphy
Profile
Kyle McMurphy was born and raised in Kelowna B.C. and graduated from Mount Boucherie Secondary School. He started playing golf by the age of 11 where he was a junior member at Shannon Lake Golf Course and that’s where he fell in love with the game. He started playing competitive golf by the age of 12 years old and has enjoyed competing in tournaments ever since. Kyle also has a hockey background as he played minor hockey in West Kelowna and played in the BCHL for Williams Lake as well as the Penticton Vees for 2 seasons.
Kyle worked at Eaglequest Golf Centre at Coquitlam from May 2015 through till the end of 2021 where he saw a high volume of clientele and a wide variety of skillsets and swings. An Assistant Golf Professional for two years and a Full Time Teaching Professional for the past 4 years. He also obtained his CPGA Class A certification in 2021. Kyle has a special interest in Golf Psychology and is schooled in the teachings of Bob Rotella and continues to take a holistic approach with the golfing mind and body with his clients. That along with his 20+ years of competitive tournament experience has given him great patience and knowledge of the game. Kyle enjoys teaching individuals of all ages and skill levels that’s looking to improve their golf game. |
Personal
Kyle is an easy going and positive person who is very close with his family and friends. He is constantly working on his own golf game and stays competitive by playing in professional golf tournaments. Like many athletes, Kyle has a love for not just golf but all sports with specific interests in the NFL, NHL and PGA Tour. Kyle also has discovered a hidden passion for Yoga, and has been working on helping people find the benefit of Yoga for their golf games.
