Dean Claggett
Profile
Dean grew up in Kelowna, the youngest of five children. The Claggett house was filled with hockey, baseball and golf equipment. He wanted to be just like his older brothers so Dean eventually scored all the hand-me-downs. Playing golf was a journey started early. Its importance grew with the years because Dean enjoyed the challenge. As his game improved so did his personal satisfaction. He began to relish the pressure of tournaments, in fact, the higher the stakes, the more fun he had.

Dean took note of other juniors landing golf scholarships and that became a challenge too. How good could he become? Could he continue competitive golf and get his education paid for? The answer was yes. Dean played scholarship golf at Oregon State University. During the summers, he entered amateur tournaments, provincial championships and national events. After graduation, he turned pro, first with mini tour events and then the Canadian Tour.
Dean began his working career in Victoria at Gorge Vale Golf and Country Club. Then it was off to Vancouver’s Quilchena Golf and Country Club, the Quesnel Golf Course in Quesnel and then his return to Kelowna in 2004 as Director of Golf here at Two Eagles Golf Course and Academy.

Personal
Family comes first with Dean. He and his wife Heather have three children, Jessica, Daniel and Thomas. When he’s not being a husband and father, hanging with friends or on the golf course, Dean is a sports nut. He loves watching great athletes perform at high levels where success is no accident. He knows all about having a plan, the dedication to improve, the hard work required and that sense of accomplishment no amount of money can buy. He feels fortunate to have a career that allows him to come to work and truly enjoy what he does. He is passionate about growing both personally and professionally.
